Gala Schnitzer(S) Schniga® M9 T 337

The Schniga variety was obtained from a bud mutation from a Tenroy variety (Royal Gala) tree by the proprietors and researches at the F. Schnitzer facilities in Dorf Tirol (South Tyrol).

The following varieties are good pollinators:

Braeburn, Delblusch, Elstar, Fuji,Golden Delicious, Granny Smith, Pinova, Red Delicious, Evereste, Prof. Sprenger.

 

Fruit

  • small to middle-sized fruit, shaped in a rounded cone
  • vivid, dark red coloring on almost the entire surface of the fruit
  • pronounced body color with bold, early coloring
  • definite increase in fruit size due to new, virus-free generation of Schniga
  • golden, juicy flesh
